When I didn’t win the Razzie Award for “Worst Screenplay” in 2005, I proclaimed in public that it was an honor just to be nominated. In private, I was embarrassed, humiliated and almost gave up writing forever. After some serious soul-searching, I actually grew a pair and climbed back on the screenwriting horse. I hope this column will inspire you to ignore the haters, adapt to adversity and build a career as a working writer. Whether you receive your umpteenth rejection letter or get raked over the coals by a jaded film critic, you too must get back in the saddle when things get rough.
