The superhero movies put out by Marvel Studios aren’t just dominating the box office but garnering critical praise. Marvel has been called the new Pixar. It’s worth taking a close look at how they handle one of the most important aspects of any story.

Here is a video follow up to my article examining the supervillain of Marvel’s second outing The Incredible Hulk.

Since my original article, I’ve made some fresh observations that are included in the video. The First is that Emil Blonsky AKA The Abomination goes through a character arc. He starts out as a normal human and because of his out of control ambition becomes a literal monster. That’s something we don’t always see in an antagonist even in later Marvel movies.

The second observation is that the cost and time involved in making these movies may become more of a factor for Marvel and their attempts to create a shared universe as time goes on. General Ross was a solid antagonist in this movie but was only just recently that he reappeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
