Transmedia Storytelling

Transmedia storytelling (transmedia narrative or multiplatform storytelling) is the technique of telling a single story or story experience across multiple platforms and formats using current digital technologies. From a production standpoint, it involves creating content using different techniques to engage an audience in their daily lives over multiple platforms. Transmedia production develops stories across multiple forms of media in order to deliver unique pieces of content in each platform. These individual pieces of content are linked together and are in narrative synchronization with each other.
