We keep back issues in stock from 1997 to the present; each copy is $8.00 including postage. It's a good idea to call (888-245-2228) or e-mail (backissues@finaldraft.com) first to see if we have the issue you want on hand. Supplies are limited, and once an issue sells out, it is no longer available. Please include with your order the name of the magazine, exact cover date of the issue, and number of copies that you wish to order. If you are ordering more than 10 copies of a back issue, please call to inquire about bulk discounts.

Article pitches should be sent to

Script Magazine
5638 Sweet Air Road
Baldwin, MD 21013
green@finaldraft.com

Unsolicited manuscripts cannot be accepted. We don't accept very many pitches, but we do give them all consideration. We do require that authors have industry experience, preferably produced credits or that they have worked in the industry. Interviews are also considered if they are specific to the scriptwriting craft and are timely and informative.

Script Magazine -- What is Script magazine's letters to the editor e-mail address?

back to top of page

Send to letters@finaldraft.com. Correspondence should include your full name, address and telephone, and may be edited for purposes of clarity or space.

Script Magazine -- What is Script magazine's subscription price?

back to top of page

The basic annual rate for a Script magazine subscription in the U.S. is $24.95 for six issues. Please note that this price does not include any applicable sales tax such as state sales tax in Maryland. Subscriptions in Canada and Mexico are $8 additional per year for postage. All other non-USA subscriptions are $20 additional per year for air mail postage. Occasionally you will find subscriptions offered at less expensive rates. This is a courtesy we provide to our customers.

Script Magazine -- When will I receive my magazines?

back to top of page

Script magazine is a bi-monthly publication published six times a year.  Depending on when in the publication schedule you place your order, it may take a couple of weeks for your subscription to be received. As a general rule, subscriptions take 4 to 8 weeks to start. We do make secondary mailings of the current issue for those customers who subscribe early in the publication schedule so that your wait time is reduced. Your subscription starts when you receive your first magazine, not when you place the order. Rest assured that these time frames are the industry standard and you will receive your new magazines as soon as possible.

Script Magazine -- Do you accept Bill Me subscriptions?

back to top of page

Due to rising postal costs, we do not offer Bill Me subscriptions. Subscriptions and renewals must be prepaid. You may find a sample issue from the most recent issue HERE or you may purchase single copies at Barnes and Noble, Borders, Tower, Virgin Books and Music, and many fine independent bookstores nationwide.

Script Magazine -- Can I cancel my subscription?

back to top of page

If you need to cancel your subscription, please send an email to subscribe@finaldraft.com.  We will promptly stop your service and issue a refund for any unmailed copies.

If you canceled your subscription, but are still receiving bills, please note that it takes a few days for a cancellation to become effective. Therefore, if you receive any invoices after you have canceled, please ignore them. If you ordered through an agent (e.g. Amazon.com), you should also check with that agent to ensure that your cancellation request was received and processed.

We calculate the remaining value of all your unmailed copies based on the yearly subscription price. We will then credit that amount to the credit card used with your order/renewal or issue a check for the refund amount.

Example: You have ordered a subscription at $24.95 for 6 issues. After receiving your fourth issue you decide to cancel. You'll be credited $16.65.

Script Magazine -- What if my issue is damaged?

back to top of page

Script magazine strives to provide readers with the best service possible. We polybag subscribers' issues to protect them while in they are in transit to your door. If your issue frequently arrives damaged and your mailbox is sufficiently sized, then check with the post office to see if the magazine arrives in good condition at their location. If it does not, then please contact us by e-mail, phone, or mail.  Our contact information is HERE.

If this damaged issue is an isolated event, please send an email to green@finaldraft.com. Your subscription will be extended to make up for the damaged issue. If you would prefer to receive a replacement issue, please indicate that preference in the email.

Script Magazine -- What if my issue is lost or missing?

back to top of page

Script magazine mails their issues to subscribers approximately two weeks prior to the magazine reaching the newsstand. Your magazine should arrive approximately one week prior to the cover date. Even if your magazine usually arrives earlier, it should not be considered late or missed until the first Friday of the cover date. For example, the January/February issue is not considered late until the first Friday in January. Factors that could delay delivery are severe weather or delays at local post offices.

If you have missed an issue, we may have an incorrect address on file. Please click here to verify your address. Your magazines may also have stopped being delivered because your subscription has not been renewed. Please send an email to subscribe@finaldraft.com to check the payment status on your account. If you would like to pay in full for your subscription, please click HERE to go to our secure payment page.
